PHOTOGRAH ONE also has an on-line 9 minute film of a narration of this one photograph from nearly 2000 photographs taken during the shoot. PHOTOGRAPH ONE is now a part of an international collection of photographs from recognized artists, in a beautiful hard cover book, used as a Text Book in Some Universities-holding more than 700 photographs -creating a modern international visual perspective and a smashing addition to any library. I hear that PUBLIC BIKES has already sold out of some of the first shipments of the beautifully coloured bikes. Orange seemed to be a favourite so far this year but with all of the magnificent colours- PUBLIC BIKES is sure to sell all of the bikes in stock! PBS INDEPENDENT LENS: published photography 2010 / the photograph titled “CHILDREN” is a depiction of a giant tree with some of it’s limbs cut off (the size of a city block) in Hawaii that takes over the town square on one of the islands, and many people- adults, and, children, throughout the day gather there to play and sit in the shade to relax and stay cool under the emerald green canopy breeze.

August 2 2010 -President and Mrs. Obama sent an official card of thanks to TRACEE’s studio from the WHITE HOUSE for a work of art created by TRACEE that was sent to the couple last year when they were looking for new works of art for the WHITE HOUSE. We, at the studio, were excited, and framed the beautifully embossed and presidentially sealed card with the envelope.

VSA.org in Washington DC asked for a work of art from me here at the studio .. And I’m quite Honored really! I’m always very happy to support an organization that goes out of their way to even the playing field in the arts nationally, and showcase the work of magnificently talented individuals all through the year at the Kennedy Center and, also, with exhibitions at the Smithsonian Museum, located in Washington DC as well. If anyone should want to purchase art for such a great purpose as VSA’s auction: Contact VSA.org online, for, what will be, a spectacular event, I’m sure.
Also, our local museum, KMA.org, is having their annual art auction, even a MIRO’ in the collection this year. They perpetually surprise me,.. This has been some year! It was my pleasure to receive a special thank you letter from the State of Tennessee’s Governor Thursday. Thank you once again to Governor Phil Bedesen on going non-fossil in energy !
Imagine- a letter from the President of the United States of America and the First Lady and the Governor of your state in the same year / and a great invitation to the NATAS Chicago Christmas Party among other nice invites, including one from Garrison Keillor to send him a poem from our book “A Painter’s Poetry Book” for the radio show PHC.
Exciting -and Difficult to keep your mind on studio work this season. Though we, at the studio are looking forward to the completion of some projects in 2011, andwe hope that you’ll be there with us! After the “big tree day” (christmas day) or winter holiday -and ringing in the new year -it’s a busy year to come. Thankfully in February TRACEE gets a great break to a conference hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. After that -we figure that our FUN for ALL, on-line classes @ THE CULTURE CLUB will be in session sometime around September 2011 -
